I am here in Malaysia where Muslims are every where. I see comments about Obama .. being calling him a Muslim whore. Have you EVERY meet a real Muslim????? I seriously doubt. There is a lot of racism here at DA. You don't have to like Obama nor had voted for him. But racism is something that I can not tolerate. It's the worst kind of people. Closed minded people will only die angry and will never enjoy life.
Why don't you go out and truly meet a Muslim OR read about their faith. I don't agree with everything they practice but guess what, within their community they are very kind people to come into contact with. They are open minded and respect other cultures, expect those racist people here at DA. They don't respect anyone. I work with Muslims everyday. And guess what? We get along! It doesn't matter what your religion is, being just kind to one another is good enough!
McCain's choice of VP was very disappointing. She is everything I am against. She would have been a huge step backwards for women. I wanted change real bad for America, so I support Obama because he is about change, about real change. I would go and listen/read his speech if you haven't already. I don't dislike McCain nor I will go around and calling him some white man whore and bash his religion. It's stupid, it makes you look stupid. It makes you look like your are not educated. Take the time to really read about each person, why are so many people here at DA only saying what they are as a person not what they have done or will do?? Are that many people here at DA that only look at the surface? Do you judge people as easy as you judge art??? Let's face it, people will look once at a photograph or a painting and right away, either hate it or love it. So is that how you view people too? It sure does look like it.
If you disagree with anything I have said, then so be it. Live in your little bubble and think they world will come to end with Obama in the seat. If you are not a working class citizen of America and still living off mommy and daddy's income, I honestly don't want to hear your sad story. I want to hear from people who lost jobs and cant even afford gas anymore. Those are the people who truly is impacted by the status of our country. Those are the voices you should listen too. Not what the bullshit media is feeding you in your comfortable chair with your digital cable. Just think about what you have in your life that makes it truly wonderful, then think about how if you lost all. If you really feel so upset with the results, then take some action! Don't seat at your computer and whine every little thing to me or to anyone! Go out and support the people who you do agree with. Get involved.
I am involved in so much then you know.
If I say Prop 2 in California would you even know what they means???
I'm excited for our new president. I want serious change.

I hope Obama's going to bring a change. It's easy to hope that he'll pick up new faces for his government, meaning new ways of thinking, but you need people with experience too, and not only democrats. Are these people ready to make the effort not to use methods already done before and proven unsuccessful?
Rahm Emanuel was for US intervention in Iraq, and from a French/British point of view, I really thing that if the coalition leaves Iraq, there will be some serious chaos. There already is, but it'll get worse. It's hypocrite to pretend nothing had been done already to help people there, but also far too early to say peace is back again, don't you think?

The thing is, the entire world was cheering for Obama, I would think that says a lot to Americans. The fact the entire world was hoping Americans would make the right decision.
so much money came from the people. the people who supported him from the day one. change jars across Americans were handed in. It was small business that made the T-Shirts, not the campaign. People where invested in him, and I am so glad he won.
Do believe what the US is doing in Iraq, is for the greater good. At the same time, the US can't always be there. I don't think they should leave anytime soon. I know Obama would like to bring the men and women home as soon as possible. But I think he'll see a much bigger picture soon. As for the rest, I trust him.

And yup, I believe hope is back too. I even spent the night waiting for the results before going to sleep, and went out with some friends the evening after that to celebrate.
